Chirio meters network writes. One unit is one write to one platform:
publishing a post to one connected account — 1 write
posting that post's first comment — another write
A post to Instagram, Threads and LinkedIn with a first comment on each is therefore
6 writes.Nothing else is metered. Listing accounts, reading post history and failed requests are free.
Platform multipliers
Not every write costs the same to serve, because not every platform charges the same to write
to. The multiplier is applied at the moment of the write and frozen, so a later price change
never rewrites what you were already billed.

X charges $0.20 for a post containing a URL against $0.015 without — one character class in the body decides it. That cost is passed through rather than spread across every other platform's writes.
Link detection is deliberately generous: a scheme-less example.com/blocks still counts,
because X treats it as a link too.
What is never billed
Usage is recorded after an outcome, never before:
A target that failed costs nothing — no network write happened.
A first comment reported failed or unsupported costs nothing, even though the post
published.
Retrying a post that partially succeeded bills only the targets that publish on the retry.
That last one is guaranteed structurally, not by convention: a retry of a 3-target post where
2 already published bills the third only.
The estimate versus the bill
The quota check before publishing assumes every target and every comment will succeed,
so it is always an upper bound. What you are billed is the outcomes that actually happened. A
request can be priced at 6 units, publish 4, and bill 4.This is why a 429 quota_exceeded can refuse a request that would in practice have cost less —
refusing on the estimate can never over-publish, whereas checking afterwards could.
Windows
Your allowance resets per billing window: your subscription anniversary if you are on a paid
plan, the calendar month otherwise. Current-period usage is visible in Settings → Billing
